Thank you for All Your Support Over This Last Year!

It’s hard to believe, but it has been a year since I started my blog Abigail Marie the Chef with IBD. As I celebrate this milestone, I could not have done it without YOU! Thank you for all your support over this last year! I have been able to meet and work alongside some amazing fellow IBD warriors, and I’m so humbled and honored as I look back on all the achievements of the last 365 days.

If you don’t know my story, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis back in 2014 at the age of 21, a few weeks after a terrible car accident. As I struggled to understand my disease and progressively got worse I had to leave the culinary industry that I loved so much as it was too many hours and too much stress for my body to handle. After years of experimenting with different diets, and receiving no guidance from my doctors concerning diet, I finally found the SCD diet! After fully committing, I had a hard time finding recipes for some of my favorite things and Abigail Marie the Chef with IBD was born. I have now been following SCD for 18 months and what a difference it has made!

As I mentioned I am no longer able to pursue my passion of being a professional chef because of my UC, but I have been able to fulfil my true culinary dream in helping others with IBD by sharing the SCD diet, creating and sharing my SCD recipes, new IBD industry science and studies, as well as my personal story. I could not have done this without all your kind messages, likes, shares, and encouragement. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reigniting my passion, and allowing me to be a part of your lives!

I would also like to send a shoutout to all the wonderfully supportive and amazing people I have had the opportunity to work with over this year! Check out these IBD leaders!
