This limeade is everything you want from a cold refreshing drink on a hot day! Cold, fresh, tart, and a little sweet it’s all you need to beat the heat and boost hydration. Limes contain lots of Vitamin C and antioxidants, and have even been shown to reduce heart disease risk and aid in iron absorption. I recommend using real limes versus pre packaged lime juice. Prepackaged lime juice has citric acid in it to act as a preservative. This will add an extra bitter aftertaste you don’t get using real fresh squeezed limes. It might take an extra few minutes, but it’s so worth it! This limeade also happens to make fantastic popsicles, and is an easy and fun activity to enjoy with the kids. Here’s to extra vitamins, hydration, and most importantly, summer! Cheers!
