Fun Size Homemade Twix Copycat Candy Bars (mSCD-Friendly)

🍫 Homemade Twix Copycat Bars (mSCD-Friendly)

When you think of Halloween, you probably think of candy—and for good reason. It’s the one time of year when kids dress up, race from door to door, and come home with buckets full of sweets to trade, count, and savor.

Growing up in the Midwest, I have such fond memories of those chilly October nights—bonfires glowing, costume contests, candy and the excitement of a sugar-filled evening ahead. Though, more often than not, our carefully chosen costumes were hidden under puffy coats anyway!

A Candy Classic, Reimagined

When it comes to the candy aisle, a few treats always rise to the top: Twix, Reese’s, Snickers, and Kit-Kat. Since I’ve already recreated a Reese’s copycat (you can find that free recipe here!), I recently took a poll on my stories to see which classic should be next.

The results were clear: Twix was the winner by a landslide! So, I set out to create a mSCD-friendly Twix copycat candy bar, and I’m so excited to finally share it with you!

Smooth chocolate, sweet caramel, and a crisp cookie base come together in this nostalgic treat—with a few healthier twists that make it something you can feel good about enjoying. It’s the perfect blend of indulgent and simple, and honestly, just as satisfying as the store-bought version.

🥄 Tips & Tricks for Your Treats

💡 No mini candy mold? No problem!
You can make one giant Twix-style bar in a loaf pan and cut it into 12 pieces once set.

  1. Bake your cookie base in a parchment-lined loaf pan, then remove to cool.

  2. Line the pan again and pour in a layer of melted chocolate, freezing until firm.

  3. Pour the caramel layer over top, then gently press the baked cookie on top.

  4. Freeze for 1 hour, cover with the remaining melted chocolate, and freeze again for 2–3 hours until fully set.

  5. Once firm, remove from the pan and slice into bars.

🍫 Pro tip: Use a small basting brush to coat the sides of each bar of the candy mold with chocolate for a perfectly even finish.

❄️ Storage: These bars keep best in the freezer—the caramel stays firm and gooey, and the cookie base keeps its crisp texture.
