Easy & Refreshing Strawberry Mint Limeade

Happy first day of Spring! With warmer weather and outdoor activities just around the corner you’ll want to have this  strawberry limeade all season long!

Bright tart citrus cuts through sweet and ripe strawberries creating the perfect combination of Spring goodness. Complemented by cool mint humming in the background and floral honey tying it all together this is one recipe you don’t want to miss!

Easy & Refreshing Strawberry Mint Limeade

Ingredients:

For the Strawberry Pureé: 

2 Cups of strawberries, sliced 

¼ Cup honey 

 

For the Limeade: 

1 ¼ Cup’s lime juice, fresh about 8-10 limes 

¾ Cup honey 

6 Cups water, divided 1 & 5 cups

1 lime, cut into 6 wedges for garnish

A few sprigs of mint, fresh and muddled, plus a few leaves for garnish

  Method Of Prep:

  1. Gather and prep ingredients.
  2. In a small saucepan add strawberries and ¼ cup honey. Boil for 12-15 minutes or until the strawberries begin to break down and it starts to resemble jam.
  3. Transfer to your high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Set aside to cool.
  4. In a new small saucepan add 1 cup of water and the remaining honey. Bring to a simmer and whisk until honey is dissolved 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  5. Juice your limes, set aside.
  6. Muddle your mint in the bottom of your pitcher.
  7. Add in the cooled simple syrup, then lime juice, followed by the strawberry puree.
  8. Add ice and remaining water. You can leave it like this showcasing its beautiful layers until ready to serve.
  9. Stir to incorporate all the flavors before pouring into glassware.
  10. Garnish with a lime wedge. Serve immediately, and top with a few mint leaves. Cheers to Spring!
