This super green smoothie is a great way to start your morning or have as an afternoon pick me up. Tropical bananas and pineapple make the base of this smoothie providing sweetness and the perfect consistency. By freezing these base ingredients, it creates a thick, almost milkshake-like smoothie without being watered down by ice. The ginger adds a kick of spice in the background and powerful anti-inflammatory properties, while the spinach adds color and important nutrients for IBD patients like Vitamin C, K, and iron. Blending the spinach also adds the benefit of easier digestion. The avocado makes for a creamy smoothie, while the green apple adds a slight tart punch. The almond milk holds it all together, and the honey rounds out these flavors, making for an irresistible smoothie! Cheers to smoothie bliss!
