A Little Pumpkin Spice Nostalgia 🎃🍂
Fall has always been one of my favorite times of year, especially when pumpkin becomes front and center!
When I was a teenager and into my early twenties, one of my favorite seasonal treats to pick up at Starbucks was their pumpkin scone. That perfectly spiced, buttery scone topped with a thick layer of sweet white icing and that signature orange pumpkin spice drizzle was something I looked forward to every fall. And of course, I had to pair it with a Pumpkin Spice Latte. (basic I know) 😂
Fast forward to today, and my love for all things pumpkin spice certainly hasn’t changed!
That food memory is what inspired me to create these Gluten-Free Pumpkin Scones with Vanilla Glaze. I wanted something that captured the flavors and textures I remembered: a buttery, tender, slightly crumbly scone filled with warm pumpkin spices and topped with a sweet, creamy glaze.
Now, these might not have that signature orange drizzle over the white icing, but I have to say, they definitely remind me of those pumpkin scones I used to get! The best part? They’re surprisingly easy to make, naturally sweetened with honey, and still perfect for enjoying alongside your favorite fall coffee.
Whether you’re enjoying one with your morning PSL (no judgment here!), as an afternoon pick-me-up, or simply because you’re craving a little taste of fall, I hope these pumpkin scones bring a little extra coziness to your kitchen and those you love!
Why You’ll Love These Pumpkin Scones 🎃
