Homemade Fun-Size Butterfinger Candy Bars (mSCD & Refined Sugar-Free)

A Halloween Throwback 🎃

Growing up, Halloween meant dressing up, trick-or-treating at friends’ and family’s houses, and trunk-or-treating at church. Of course, half the fun was getting home and sorting through all the candy to see what you ended up with!

While I certainly wasn’t picky when it came to Halloween candy, Butterfingers and Reese’s were always at the top of my list. There was just something about that crispy, flaky peanut butter center wrapped in chocolate that made Butterfingers one of my favorites.

So naturally, I had to try recreating them in my own kitchen!

I’ll admit, I wasn’t entirely sure how close I could get to the original, especially using honey instead of traditional candy-making sugars. But after my first bite, I was genuinely blown away!

The center has that same peanut brittle-like crunch, with delicate layers that practically melt in your mouth. The peanut butter flavor is incredibly close to the original, too! The biggest difference is the rich dark chocolate coating, which I personally think pairs beautifully with the sweet, crunchy center.

And I’m not exaggerating when I say this might be my best homemade candy recipe to date!

With just a handful of ingredients, a little patience, and some folding magic, you can recreate one of my favorite childhood Halloween treats right at home, mSCD style!
